I pity the poor sod who watches this without having seen the first installment - or should that be envy? The adrenaline coursing through this completely nutso film is overwhelming, and makes it thoroughly enjoyable, until the bombardment of special effects and slushy teen melodrama becomes too much to handle. The ending is a gratifying end to the hokum, but it sure as hell takes it's time getting there. Watched this as an in-flight movie which I'm not sure is such a bad thing, as it might have given me the headache from hell had I seen it at the cinema (again, a bad thing?)
