Socio-economic and political problems are prevalent to underdeveloped nations. Justice and the law in these countries always take the side of the rich and powerful. Laotian director Anysay Keola is really brave in stretching the limits of censorship for this film to be made as well as shown domestically as well as internationally. The Lao film industry shows promise in making films that are culturally and socially significant in this day and age.
